The T-shirt design for our home opener highlights Pathways' presence in promoting awareness for '988 Week' and suicide prevention. Pathways volunteers will provide information, giveaways, and public address announcements, as well as display banners at the stadium. RWHS will also host Earendel Theatricals' performance of 'Every Brilliant Thing' on September 9th for all RWHS students, featuring a suicide prevention play, Q&A session, and student-performer interactions to raise awareness about this critical issue.

We are thrilled to collaborate with Pathways and other community organizations to shine a light on two incredible initiatives that are dedicated to awareness and prevention of preventable tragedies among our youth. "988 Week" is a celebration of hope, and the number 988 is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, which provides 24/7 crisis support, and the initiative has a designated 988 Day that helps raise awareness for the lifeline and its services. Also, September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a time when mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness and inspire hope for a brighter future.

For tonight's game, Ashland has requested that I emphasize the importance of restricting field/field level access to players, team personnel, cheerleaders, and Raceland game administrators. Our staff will be assisting Ashland game managers in enforcing this KHSAA mandate. Press and game photographers are required to display press credentials or the RWHS media badge.
